Service Description

Caricatures are a special form of portrait art. It's playful and can be mocking, but the basic skill development is very similar to traditional portraiture. You just focus on the prominent features. In this workshop we will study what makes a good caricature by using celebrity photographs as reference, as well as making fun of our own faces. It's going to be fun. All Primary Colours' holiday workshops are run fully resourced and professionally planned. They are facilitated by Andrew Lang, the owner of Primary Colours Art School with over twenty five years teaching experience. The price includes all materials, use of equipment and the space, and a healthy snack. It is recommended that participants wear clothes that are not precious or favourites. Ideally drink bottles and snacks are not brought by kids as they can clutter the space and sometimes get forgotten. As mentioned above, a snack is provided and participants will have access to fresh cool drinking water. Please arrive five to ten minutes before the scheduled starting time to avoid delay. Primary Colours does not condone or tolerate any form of abusive or anti-social behaviour. If a participant is behaving in a way that affects the enjoyment of other people in the group they will be removed from the creative space immediately and expected to wait while their carer is contacted to escort them home. Please ensure that all artwork, and personal belongings, are taken at the completion of the workshop. Thank you - Andrew the Art Teacher
